Who We Are

GridLiance is an independent transmission-only utility company, but we are more than just wires. Founded in 2014, we aim to improve the electric transmission system in the United States.

Several years and hundreds of miles of transmission lines later, GridLiance has

  • built a company that is flexible enough to collaborate across the country with electric cooperatives, municipal utilities, renewable energy developers, and others regardless of size and geography.
  • invested in transmission upgrades to improve the reliability and resilience of the grid, reducing the number and duration of power outages long endured by many customers.
  • created a dynamic team that develops innovative solutions to the unique financial, operational, and compliance challenges our partners deal with.

With operations in three regional transmission organizations, we invest in collaborative transmission
solutions and long-term partnerships with a goal of ensuring comparable access to transmission
service, increased reliability and resiliency, and cost.
